FIXEDGEAR

Fixed Gear is a cycling app concept I designed to bring together ride tracking, rewards, and a curated bike-shopping experience in one streamlined platform. The goal was to create an app that feels both motivating and practical—helping riders log their miles, earn meaningful incentives, and stay connected to the Fixed Gear brand while discovering bikes and gear that fit their lifestyle.

Objective: Design a clean, modern cycling app that motivates riders, enhances engagement with the Fixed Gear brand, and integrates both ride tracking and in-store rewards into a seamless experience.

Outcome: A fully designed mobile app that accurately tracks rides, rewards users with milestone-based incentives like discounts and tune-ups, and provides an easy way to browse and purchase bikes and gear directly from the Fixed Gear shop. The result is a focused, intuitive experience that keeps riders motivated while strengthening their connection to the brand.

The Product Page allows users to explore each bike in detail, select size and quantity, and add it directly to their cart. Users can also view detailed specifications, features, and imagery to make informed decisions before purchasing. This section is designed to be intuitive and visually engaging, providing all the essential information a rider needs while keeping the shopping experience seamless and enjoyable.

The Checkpoints section tracks users’ rides and translates their progress into meaningful rewards. By monitoring distance, milestones, and ride frequency, the app automatically awards incentives, like a free water bottle at 100 miles or a jersey at 1,000 miles. This feature not only motivates riders to stay active but also encourages repeat engagement with the Fixed Gear store, creating a fun, goal-oriented experience that blends fitness tracking with tangible rewards.

The Odometer is the part of the app that tracks the essential data from each ride, including distance, speed, and ride time. Users can toggle between miles per hour and kilometers, giving flexibility for different preferences. Designed to provide a clear and simple overview, the odometer focuses on the core metrics riders need to monitor their progress and performance.

The Activity Page works hand-in-hand with the odometer to give riders a comprehensive view of their rides. A simple swipe reveals detailed metrics, including total distance, max speed, ride time, elevation, and calories burned, along with a map showing the route taken. Users can also review previous ride logs, making it easy to track progress over
time. This section is designed to provide a complete picture of each ride while keeping the data organized and easy to navigate.
